Stand for Something

In today's tough economic environment there seems to me an overall attitude of fear and insecurity.
This is very understandable. But we as a society have taken it a step to far.
We have reached the point where we are trying to be everything to everybody.
In our personal lives and in our business.

When was the last time you told a golden prospect "No" and that their demands would not fit your business model?

Flexibility is good. Modifying a successful business model is not.

There are many companies that have hanged their core business focus without even knowing it. Many have entered industries that they know nothing about.

When was the last time you stood up to your boss letting them know that a particular course of action was not conducive to good business?

In this day and age, we are all terrified of making a stand.
We fear the repercussions of loosing a deal or loosing our job.

What we need to do is remember, in the end:

When you refuse to make a stand, you end up standing for nothing.

Where do you stand?
